A Tarot Spread to Instantly Raise Your Vibration!

Hello my witchy friend!

I’ve experienced some disappointing setbacks in the last couple months —particularly with rejection and money. I’m finally starting to see those setbacks revealing themselves to be miracles from the universe. Still, that didn’t make them any less painful when they happened.

Tarot and oracle cards are my go-to magical tool for healing and releasing emotional wounds, and I wanted to share with you a special spread I created that has added a little humor and a lot of magic to my life.

There’s an improv game called “Good, Bad, Worse.” It’s when someone in the audience will ask for advice, and the improv player will first give some good advice, then bad advice, then worse advice.

This is hilarious to observe because the last piece of advice is so wildly absurd you’d have to be insane to take it.

I’ll give you an example:

“I’ve been trying to start a garden, but every year my plants end up dying. What should I do?”

Good: “Join a gardening club and learn some tips and tricks from more experienced gardeners.”

Bad: “Whatever you were doing that was killing your plants, just do the opposite.”

Worst: “Dig a hole and stand in it for a few weeks to “live like a plant”, so you can really figure out what they need.”

Ok, if you’re not howling with laughter right now, cut me some slack. I’m a tarot reader, not a comedian!

Did you notice how each piece of advice was a story? Technically, they’re all valid stories, but it’s clear that some are better ideas than others.

I’ve been realizing that I play this improv game in my head when I’m trying to step into a higher vibration. But I’ll go the opposite way starting with the worst story and creating stories until I find one that makes me feel good.

For example, my question might be, “Why do I have credit card debt?”

My Worst Story: “I can’t be trusted with money. I’m a huge loser.”

My Bad Story: “It’s not my fault. It’s my parents' fault for not teaching me about money.”

My Good Story: “My soul wanted to experience the miracle of watching a troubling money situation transform into abundance.”

Ok, what story is full of wonder and magic? What story feels like a heavy sack of bricks? It’s obvious what story will move me in the direction of abundance.

If you're a skeptic like I tend to be at times, maybe you’re saying, “Ok, so I’m just supposed to tell myself whatever helps me sleep at night? How is it healthy to live in denial?”

It’s not denial, though. I’m not ignoring the fact I have credit card debt. I’m choosing to see how the process of moving into abundance from a place of debt will add more magic to my life experience.

And mark my words. There will always be a new financial finish line. Once the credit card debt falls away, there might be a mortgage to pay or investments to manage.

That’s not to say we’re on a perpetual hamster wheel of problems. That’s another unhelpful story. Here’s a better one: “I love having the experience of expansion physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.” or “I love co-creating magical outcomes in all different situations.”

Ok, you ready to try yourself? What’s something that’s been energetically poking at you lately? What has been making you feel kind of down?

Perform the “Good, Bad, Worst” tarot spread to will help you explore this concept of different stories, so you can discover the story that is most healing for you!

Have a most magical day,
Julie

The “Good, Bad, Worst”-inspired Oracle or Tarot Spread

Card One: What area of my life do I need to change my story around?

Card Two: What is the “worst” way I think about this area of my life?

Card Three: What is the “bad” way I think about this area of my life?

Card Four: What is the “good” most magical way to think about this area of my life?

Card Five: Guidance for my next steps

This spread can get a bit abstract, so be sure to use your intuition when interpreting the cards. Notice the thoughts, emotions and images that come to mind as you flip over each card. Journal about your interpretations. After you’ve drawn all the cards, write out your new, magical story.
